What is your shop name and what is the significance?
Lizbeth's Garden: The first part is a nickname for my own first name, Elizabeth, and the second part is because I love gardening.
What do you love about Idaho?
I love the potatoes. They are so tender and flavorful, not at all like the lumps of starch you get in other states.
Name one thing you would suggest people do when they come to visit the state?
Visit Craters of the Moon -- it is amazing! Also visit EBR-1 along Highway 20 on the way to Craters of the Moon (if you're coming from Idaho Falls). EBR-1 is an important part of our nation's history.
Tell us a random fact about yourself.
I grew up in New Mexico.
What do you do to relax?
I love to read. In a good week, I can read 3-5 novels cover to cover. I especially like historical fiction, romance, and cozy mysteries.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?
I would love to visit India and Tibet. When I was a child, I loved reading M. M. Kaye's novels and autobiography and other books about India and southern Asia.
Currently, what is your favorite shop item?
My primrose engraved copper pendant. It is the first in a new line of flower engraved metal pendants. I love the process of creating these pendants.
How did you become interested in your craft?
I was looking for beaded tassels for my bedroom, and I couldn't find any.
What do you enjoy about the creative process?
I enjoy finding fun beads and vintage beads and combining them into a beautiful tassel with thread and seed beads.
Any suggestions for those interested in selling their handmade items or vintage finds?
Research your niche and keywords before you start.
