Support a Fellow Idaho Mom... Buy a hat!!

I'm a fellow Idaho etsian, and also a mom of an adorable 3 year old. This is why I decided to do a fund raiser to help support a fellow Idaho mom, and a great friend!  One of my best friend experienced a mothers worst nightmare, and that was that her daughter went missing while being watched by friends.  Little 16 Month old Jayci left this earth on April 22nd, 2011 and has a HUGE impact on those around her and that have read her story.  You can read the moms story at her personal blog located at http://layneandkrissy.blogspot.com but be aware you will cry your eyes out!! The month of May and Until June 10th, I'm donating 100% of all the sales from my store www.theroyalblossom.com  www.theroyalblossom.etsy.com to the Jayci Darrington Memorial Fund.  So please, if you
can help support a great cause...come purchase a hat!

Stitch to Stitch!

Girls Blue Aqua and Brown Double Layer Twirl Skirt

Another one of my favorite etsy shops is called Stitch to Stitch! Check out a few of her lovely boutique clothing for children. Not only are the clothes adorable and made with the cutest fabrics but her skills are top notch (her hem lines are insanely straight), it is obvious she takes pride in her work and loves every minute of it!

The owner of Stitch to Stitch is Amanda and here is a little about her story behind her journey to become a very talented seamstress:

I'm celebrating my new life as a sewist!

As a child I was fascinated watching my Mom and Grandma turn fabric into beautiful handcrafted items. In my early 20's I finally got brave enough to try my hand at it. As much as I loved it, for many years I couldn't sit and sew without it triggering horrible headaches.

Thankfully, in 2009 my wonderful doctor figured out what was causing the headaches. I have an abnormality called a Chiari malformation. All it took was a little brain surgery to solve the problem -- I can sew again (as well as be able to function as a person) and love it.

Any time I finish a project I'm reminded of how fortunate I am. I'm thankful for another chance at life.
This store is my way of celebrating a second chance to do the things I love!

To Market, To Market....

My Display

Hello Etsians!

As a new etsian; I've gotten fairly comfortable with selling my wares online; but making the decision to sell face-to-face was exciting and scary! I was so grateful to have come in contact with Crystal from ADCD, who was kind enough to let me tag along as she secured a booth at Nampa Farmers' Market for the 2011 season.

I don't know whether I would have been brave enough to set up my own booth; and I think we've both been glad to have the support of the other as Farmers' Market newbies!

The Nampa Farmers' Market is a great little market; it's been around for 23 years; and is so reasonably priced for artisans and farmers of all budgets; really, I couldn't imagine selling anywhere else.
Nampa Farmers' Market runs every Saturday between April 30th and October
29th, 2011, from 9am - 1pm, rain or shine. The market is located in historic
downtown Nampa at Lloyd's Square on Front Street and 14th Ave. So.

Our first market day, I was so excited and nervous, I didn't sleep a wink all night! It took a bit to become comfortable with selling face to face; having only sold online on etsy; I've never had the experience of someone looking at my items and not buying; or rather; that's happened hundreds of times every day; I've just never had to see it before! By the second week; last Saturday; I finally felt comfortable with the rhythm of selling at a market; and really started to enjoy it!

And as it turns out, our booth "neighbor" was a fellow etsian; Barbara from Barbara's Handcrafts. Come down and see us! There's music and great food.......and US!

We would all love to see our awesome Idaho team; and for you to see our displays and booth that we worked so hard on!

See you Saturday, at the market!

The Cutest Monsters You've Ever Seen!

I have to share with all of you one of the cutest etsy shops I have seen! Check out these adorable little monsters and meet their creater, Karen:

"One afternoon as I was drawing silly monsters on paper with my kids I had a thought and it went like this…hmmm, I bet I could make those little monsters even more fun to play with." and that is how Plushoodles came about! What's a plushoodle? Well, plush + doodles = plushoodles. All of my items begin as original hand drawn designs, or doodles. Then I transform my designs by sewing them into fleece plush collectible toys, and use them to create a variety of digital art prints to design all sorts of fun crafts and collectibles. Cool beans, huh?

The Plushoodles story:
Far away in the land of Doodlopolis little Monster Plushoodles roam; they love to travel and play lots of games and eat candy when you're not home.
With awesome ninja skills these clever good luck charms defend their friends against all bad juju; their powers grow stronger when they come together, name them and adopt a few.
With lots of fun shapes and sizes to choose from, silly faces and bright colors too; huggable, lovable, charming monster plushoodles will make a great gift for you!

Monster Gift Sets

Bottle Cap Keychains (they also come in necklaces)

Personalized 8X10 Digital Print
These are just too cute! Make sure to check out this adorable etsy shop today, Plushoodles, or visit them on facebook, their blog, or website. Here is the rest of the crew at Pushoodles:
